Food Trip in Carcar City, Cebu

These pictures I’m showing to you reflects every childhood or school years way back then in our younger years. Typically, these are Filipino foods commonly seen in every counter of the vendor’s stalls outside our schools and public markets. I took these pictures because I thought it’s always a part of our lives. And wherever you may go, you simply cannot forget all these because it brings you the fun memories at a highest level with those people you knew back then.

I took these pictures from the City of Carcar Cebu- a place so well known of its delicacies like CHICHARON, AMPAO and a lot more! Lechon in Carcar is also at its best.
When you want to buy shoes or other types of footwear, Carcar City has it all! The shoes are lovingly crafted with so much passion by the people of Carcar. And sold at a very minimal cost. It is the reason why the City becomes so progressive. It has its own gigantic shoe displayed outside the shoe shop located before entering the City proper when you’re heading to south direction.

"Don't make a pee here, the owner is a Mayor!"

One day,  this message mounted on a heavy sturdy looking cement post catches my attention- the reason why I brought it here. The message is in a Cebuano dialect when translated to English its states;

"Don't make a pee here, the  owner is a MAYOR"

What do you think about this message? This can be considered as a precaution that no one should ever throw away their SH*T here! You should know that the owner is a Mayor! Or it brings a message like: "You should be afraid to pee here! Because the Mayor is the owner of this place!

Whatever your understanding or perception of this message, it would always end up like a reminder to each one of us to follow the rules imposed and read between the lines. It is a very simple message that drives us to be always clean anywhere we go. We are always sick of posting reminders anywhere just to imposed cleanliness but still there are those who just love to do unhygienic stuff.

Cleanliness should always start in your own backyard. You don't need to be reminded unceasingly. After all, whoever we are and whatever position we are into, all of us will eventually suffer the consequences. And when we act towards a common goal for the common good of everyone then, we become all winners in our little own ways.

Start now!

Popping Tips

  • When using your black formal shoes, use THIN Socks. Why? In that way you can help preserve your shoes for the longest time. Wearing thin socks prevents your shoes to expand. Expanding of shoes upon wearing it causes to a little damage & eventually, it'll be worn out.
  • High-cut socks are the ones advisable to wear if you'll be wearing long pants. In that way, ankles are still covered by your socks especially when sitting.
  • Note that it is also important to wear socks with the same color as your pants.

Popping Tips

  • When ironing clothes, it is very helpful to have a piece of scissor close to you. Why? So that you can easily cut-off those excess thread/s from your clothes.

Pizza for you!

ARE YOU A PIZZA LOVER?

Pizza here, pizza there, pizza everywhere!

Pizza houses in Cebu are rapidly boosting just like those towering buildings growing anywhere like mushrooms around the Queen City of Southern Philippines- CEBU.

Back in my younger years, I came to know pizzas in the name of --- "Mommy's Pizza". It was the only available pizza in our province. So anywhere I would go, there is only one name of pizza dwelling in my mind. My classmates and I really enjoyed our time eating the said pizza in our elementary and high school years. Its been a big deal for us because we can only afford to buy one by contributing each other's allowances just to set up Mommy's Pizza on top of the table then eventually the celebration begins!

At the time I was setting my very own foot prints in Cebu during College Years, It was a great impact to change my views about pizzas. I started to know a whole lot different kinds of pizzas all over the city. This time, Mommy's Pizza No More! But she'll always be remembered.

The Cowrie Cove at Shangri-la's Mactan Island Resort & Spa offers you that gorgeous and delightful pizzas flying just before your very eyes on the chef's counter during the evening by the sea.

Pizza chains like Greenwich, Shakeys, Pizza Hut, JCA and Yellow Cab also offers you the same satisfaction guaranteed taste of pizzas in the city.

But Cebuano or Visayan locals were innately so talented enough by bringing up Pizza masterpieces in their own creativity. I may say Mama Marias Pizza won my heart when I happened to eat their SEAFOOD PIZZA. You'll enjoy the very inviting smell of it!

HANDURAW Pizzas are also irresistibly yummy with its thin crispy crust! You will simply love it!

Calzone Pizza

This is not a huge "empanada" its the CALZONE PIZZA
But there is one Pizza House in Cebu that remains adorable for me. From the network of friends I came to know RYAN'S PIZZARELLI HOUSE! It was my very first time to eat a pizza called--- CALZONE! Oh My God! That's all I can say! Their pizzas are so uniquely created! Simply and absolutely full of taste of goodness! I assure you though so cliche to say but i will say it again and again: "Once tasted, always wanted"!
